Luxurious Beach & Wellbeing Escape at Six Senses Zighy Bay.

With dramatic scenery, butlers on hand and a private beach, Six Senses Zighy Bay is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.

There’s something truly special about this place. Tucked away on the Musandam Peninsula, between rugged mountains and a broad, sandy beach, the 90-minute drive through the dramatic desert scenery from Dubai makes you feel like you’re escaping the rest of the world.

Once you’re here, there’s not much else you could wish for. Delicious food, a quiet beach, your own private pool where you can wash away the stress of home – and a team of staff who make you feel like a close friend. Nothing is too much trouble.

The Inside Word

We love...

A sun-kissed cruise on a dhow in the Arabian ocean. Slip slowly through the warm water, on your way to explore small bays and fishing villages carved into the rock. The five-hour cruise includes snorkeling, kayaking and a gourmet lunch provided by the Zighy Bay’s team of chefs

Indulge Yourself...

At the award-winning Six Senses Spa. Book yourself into one of nine tranquil treatment rooms, where skilled international therapists will put you back on the right track. Try the Get covered with diamonds, emeralds and rubies with the Luxury Gemstone Massage.

Time For Action...

If you’re one of those people who get twitchy after a few hours of sunbathing, fear not. There’s a lot to do here, including running and walking, mountain biking, beach volleyball, snorkeling, kayaking and windsurfing – all complimentary, of course. On top of all this, there are some amazing excursions to be had…

Learn Something New…

The wine collection here is superb – as with all Six Senses properties – and Vinotheque hosts regular wine and cheese evenings with the hotel’s master sommelier. It’s the perfect opportunity to find out (more) about the wonderful world of whites, reds and rosés.

Experience a Taste of...

Private dining on a secluded beach. Just you (whoever else you want to invite) and a team of waiters and chefs to ensure everything is taken care of – in style. Aside from this, there are four eateries to choose from: Dining on the Sand – a 68-seat restaurant serving pan-Asian, Middle Eastern and international flavours;

Sense on the Edge (a hilltop restaurant serving international food, with breathtaking views over the bay) and Vinotheque, where you can match the menu to your wine choice. There’s also The Deli (open air, ideal for lunch), and at night, a champagne cocktail or martini at Chill The Bar is the perfect way to round off the day. On top of all this, there’s 24-hour dining available in your villa. Order a champagne breakfast, enjoy a barbecue under the stars on your private pool deck – whatever you want, the chances are these guys can make it happen…

For Children...

Although there are no specific children's facilities, youngsters are more than welcome here, and at times there are special accommodation deals for them.

Flying Time From The UK...

Around seven hours.

The Last Word...

Tranquil atmosphere, excellent service, great facilities… This luxury beach and wellbeing escape at Six Senses Zighy Bay is the perfect antidote to workaday stress.

Don't Forget...

Zighy Bay is located 120 kilometres (90-minutes’ drive) from Dubai International Airport. You can top off the scenic drive down from the hill overlooking the bay with a 15-minute speedboat trip from the nearby port, or even a paraglider flight (both available for a supplementary charge).

In total there are 79 pool villas, two Private Retreats (accommodating four adults each, and two children under 12 years) and the Private Reserve. All spacious rooms are decked out in a blend of traditional Omani village style, and equipped with modern amenities.
We can tailor make any escape to suit your requirements so if you wish to amend the suggested itinerary in any way, just let us know.

When to Escape

The annual rainfall in most parts of Oman rarely exceeds 125mm and generally the weather is good. Be aware, though, that the climate differs from the coast to the interior to the mountains – the latter being much more moderate throughout the year.

May to August

Hot and humid on the coast; the interior is dry.

September to April

The best time to visit Oman, especially the coast.

Zighy Bay Review

“This is the place to come if you need to re-energise. Peace and quite, dramatic mountains, the beach, the pool villas, superb dining options and excellent service – all topped off by the reviving Six Senses spa. We love it.”
